I'm Alex and a senior researcher with Horizons. I have over 10 years' experience in frontline health and social care roles; I also have a background in academic research, focussed in literature and narratives of political history.

I particularly enjoy weaving clear narratives from seemingly disparate sources.

My career has been underpinned by a desire to improve services for the people who use them, by placing their voice front and centre. I am a skilled interviewer, having used interviews and other group research to drive forward innovation in practice. I firmly believe in facilitating people from all backgrounds to be heard, in whatever manner allows them to best express their views.
